The wooden handcrafted carving making has long been of jepara culture, centuries history record during back to the seventh centuries the abundance of handcrafted carving in jepara central java and the group of skilled carpentry who used the timber for the kalingga, majapahit, demak and mataram kingdom.

Jepara carver and furniture maker absorbed the influences of Chinese, Indian, Arabic, European designs,producing to this day intricate design and highly sought items. The seventeenth century port of Jepara, once a bustling centre of maritime commerce, remains today a major of handcrafted items and furniture.

In 1700,Quen Kalinyamat encouraged the worker to produce the high quality wooden handcrafted furniture for international trade as did the Indonesian heroine , Kartini, who helped promoted jeparanesse handcrafted item to European with whom she market and steady orders.

Jepara citizen depend on the sustainability of wooden industries,the carving is part of jepara culture.  Wood carving is an art form a picture or motif on surface wood by forming a basin on the object.
